Haridwar is the most holy pilgrimage for Hindu people, every Hindu want to come to Haridwar and bath in holy Gnaga River. Haridwar is an ancient city of India; Bhageeratha king was brought Ganga River from heaves till from Haridwar make a pilgrimage destination of the Hindus. Haridwar is located of hill stations so its climate is better, its temperature in summers: 15°C to39.8°C and in winters: 6°C to 16.6°C is remain. Haridwar is district of Uttarakhand state and this is 200km in north from Delhi.

Tourist can get Haridwar from Delhi by bus, by train and by air; main trains are Shatabdi Express (2017), Mussoorie Express (4041), Bandra Dehradun Express (9091), Upasana Express (2327) from Lucknow, Chennai-Dehradun Express (2687) from Chennai via Delhi, Jan Shatabdi Express (2054) from Amritsar, Hemkunt Express (4610) from Jammu Kashmir and Ahmedabad-Haridwar Mail (9105) from Ahmedabad via Delhi etc.
Haridwar: is a hub in education providing, first Indian engineering college established at Roorkee in 1847 by British Gov. (now this is IIT Roorkee). Other institutes are college of engineering roorkee (coer), Gurukul Kangri University, Chinmaya degree college, State ayuevedic college & hospital rishikul Haridwar.
BHEL: Haridwar also famous by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL); this is biggest manufacturing and engineering enterprise of Indian Government. This big branch located at Ranipur town in Haridwar.
IIT Roorkee : Roorkee College of engineering was established in 1847 by British Government, in this first time available branch was civil engineering only. In independent India Roorkee college elevating as first engineering University in 1949 and this again elevating on september 2001 as Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee). IIT Roorkee is a dream place of students who want to make engineer in India.
